MIL-STD 350nm - 900nm Center Wavelength Short Pass Optical Filter
An optical filter is a device that selectively transmits light of different wavelengths, usually implemented as a glass plane or plastic device in the optical path, which are either dyed in the bulk or have interference coatings. The optical properties of filters are completely described by their frequency response, which specifies how the magnitude and phase of each frequency component of an incoming signal is modified by the filter.
Short pass filters are specifically designed to transmit wavelengths shorter than the cut-off wavelength while rejecting longer wavelengths. Because short pass filters isolate specific wavelengths, short pass filters are desirable in systems where they can be used to trim excess wavelengths or stray light to reduce unwanted near band emissions. Industry applications include order sorting in photometry and fluorescence.
As an important optical element, HTOE specially manufactured short pass filters are widely used in digital imaging, biomedical cosmetology and fingerprint recognition. They are made to let light in one certain band pass through while cut off light in the other band. HTOE long pass and short pass filters are characterized by high throughput rate, wide cut-off band and excellent film firmness. Filter products are manufactured according to customer's requirements.
